Training
- Mindful Paws focuses on kind, positive and ethical training methods
- Mindful Paws does not accept the use of any punitive and harsh methods of dog training including the use of choke chains, prong collars and shock collars
- It is expected that all dogs are fully wormed and vaccinated when training in public areas
- It is the responsibility of each customer to keep their dog under control in public areas, including picking up after them
- Mindful Paws cannot accept any responsibility for loss, damage or injury caused to third parties or property
- Children (under 17) are more than welcome to attend training sessions, however must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times
- Each dog’s progress is the responsibility of the customer and the commitment to work on the advice given during training sessions
- Mindful Paws reserves the right to end a training session with immediate effect if the safety of any person or animal is compromised
- In some instances Mindful Paws may insist that the dog has a veterinary check-up before proceeding with behavioural advice. Failure to produce evidence of this may terminate support from Mindful Paws
Training & Behavioural Reports
- If you’ve had an initial consultation that includes a training and behavioural report, Mindful Paws aims to send this to you within 5 working days of your session.
- Follow-on sessions include a shorter summary which Mindful Paws aims to email to you within 5 working days of your session.
Payments
- Payment must be made in full 3 days before your first session
- Payment can be made via BACS
- Mindful Paws cannot offer refunds unless in mitigating circumstances such as serious illness or death
- Mindful Paws prices are non-negotiable
Postponing a Session
- Please be aware that Mindful Paws operates a 48 hours postponement policy. This allows us to offer the appointment to another valued client. If you need to reschedule an appointment, please provide a minimum of 48 hours notice via text message or email.
