Extra Training Support for Walking Issues
One-to-One Training Walks
Need extra help with your dog’s behaviour on walks? Mindful Paws offers one-to-one dog training walks, where I pick up your dog, take them to a suitable location, and work on their issues directly using positive reinforcement training.
This service is perfect for dogs with ongoing issues such as reactivity, anxiety about the outdoors, or difficulty walking on a lead. Training walks can be booked individually (£45 for 30 minutes, £60 for 45 minutes) or as a batch (order four or more to get a 10% discount.)
Please Note: Training walks are only available for dogs who have previously had an in-person training session (at minimum an initial assessment). Full details in the “Frequently Asked Question” section below.

How Do Training Walks Work?

The goal of Mindful Paws Training Walks is to help your dog make faster progress with issues they struggle with on walks. Here’s how the walks work:
- I’ll pick your dog up from your home (you must be at home for both pick-up and drop-off.)
- I’ll drive your dog to a nearby walking spot that’s suitable for the type of issues your dog has (or we’ll walk from your home if required.)
- During the walk, I’ll use positive training techniques to work on your dog’s issues directly. These will be adapted to your dog’s previous training, the severity of the problem, and the environment.
- After the walk, you’ll receive photos and a progress update to let you know how your dog got on.
All training walks are one-to-one, so your dog will have my full attention. If you book a block of training walks, you’ll also have the option of joining your dog for one walk each month so I can demonstrate their progress and the techniques we’re using.
